In the waning days of May 2014, Deutsche Telekom starting telling customers to expect the Apple iPhone 6 to be available for purchase on September 19th. As it turned out, that date was 100% correct. Now, an employee working for another European mobile operator has leaked the launch date of the next iteration of the iPhone.

A Vodafone employee sent an email to MobileNews stating that the next version of Apple’s smartphone (rumored to be called the Apple iPhone 6s) will be available for purchase on September 25th. Pre-orders will be accepted starting on September 18th. Although it is likely, the Vodafone employee did not mention whether Apple will produce a sequel to the Apple iPhone 6 Plus phablet.

The new Apple iPhone is expected to include a 12MP rear-facing camera. That is the first increase in MP for the iPhone’s rear snapper since the Apple iPhone 4s came with an 8MP camera. The Apple iPhone 4 employed a 5MP shooter. The new camera is expected to use a Sony sensor and will include a white sub-pixel to help it take quality shots in low light conditions.
