The next big game from the creators of the super popular Left 4 Dead franchise, Turtle Rock Studios has finally released its 4v1 tactical co-op game Evolve, along with its season pass. What nobody knew was that there were going to be plenty of extra add-ons for the game that wouldn’t come with the season pass, and combined, are worth quite a lot of money.
Evolve is a game that is worth $59.99, for it, you can obviously also get a season pass, which will grant you access to all of the upcoming downloadable content for the game that will be released later on for only $24.99; however, there are plenty of other add-ons for the game, mostly character skins, though, which aren’t included in the season pass, and range from $1.99 up to $6.99 a piece, adding up to a whole total of $135.56.
The math doesn’t close for us. Normally, if you want to get a game and all of its additional content, you will get the game -in this case for $59.99- along with its season pass, which are normally around $20-$24.99, adding to a whole total of around $75. That’s expensive, if you ask me. Now, if you go ahead and add $135 in order to be able to get all the content for the game, you will end up paying well over $200. Add $150 to that and you can easily get a current-gen console already.
Of course, this topic is about 100% optional content. But normally, after a while playing a game, you’ll eventually start wanting to change things, at least visually, and pay for a new skin, if you liked the game. But with these prices, it seems unlikely that someone will be glad to even try to get all the available content for the game, don’t you think?
