Real-time payments will be available across much of the United States by the middle of next year, and the man driving the project at The Clearing House (TCH) said he is frequently surprised at the ways banks and corporations plan to take advantage of the new capability.
TCH doesn’t develop any payment apps itself, said Steve Ledford, SVP for product and strategy at TCH, but it is constantly talking to banks and sometimes their customers.
