Tapping into their stores as inventory centers, Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s are adding nine markets to their same-day delivery service, bringing to 17 the total areas served.
Macy’s Inc., No. 7 in the Internet Retailer 2015 Top 500 Guide, and its Bloomingdale’s division, will offer the service to customers who order online in Atlanta, Boston, Dallas and other areas through delivery provider Deliv in conjunction with mall operators including General Growth Properties, Simon Property Group, and Westfield Corp. Customers will pay a $5 fee above standard ground shipping rates.
