Open carry guns don’t protect anyone against ransom ware attacks. That’s today’s PSA to the anti-gun control movement in the US. Digital transformation should be transforming their understanding of threats to their security. According to Atlas VPN, 45% of the ransom ware attacks carried out in 2021 were directed against US targets.

The findings come in a report conducted by Cyberint called Ransom ware – The Bad, The Bad & the Ugly.

Of the 2,845 ransom ware attacks that were seen worldwide in 2021, 1,352 were targeted at US entities. In contrast, 146 ransom ware attacks were launched against French targets 140 were against Canadian targets.
